“Women in Energy” - promoting women to key positions in the energy sector

We believe that having talented and diverse employees ensures innovation and creativity. These strengthen the Company, establish it as a leader in the renewable energy market, and allow it to provide and the most innovative and cutting-edge solutions possible. This commitment aligns with the relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For these reasons, we are committed in the long-term to fostering professional and diverse human capital.

Women currently make up 34% of the Company’s workforce, both in Israel and abroad. Additionally, 20% of the Company’s management in Israel are women. The Company’s board of directors includes two women – an external director and an independent director, and we are working to increase their representation in the coming years with an additional representative. Furthermore, one woman serves on the board of the subsidiary Doral LLC (out of six board members).

Beyond the consistent increase in the number of women in various roles within the Company, and as a result of women’s representation in management, the wage ratio between men and women in 2023 was 156%. We anticipate that our efforts to increase the representation of women in management positions will also impact the wage ratio in the coming years.

To Doral’s Equal Pay Report

Trends in Gender Diversity at Doral, in Israel, 2020-2023

Since 2023, employee data includes the Company’s activities abroad. Accordingly, the percentage of women in the workforce stands at 34%.

With the formalization of recruitment processes within the Company, we aim to increase the proportion of women that are considered as candidates for positions and recruited in effect, with the goal of minimizing gaps so that the rate of women at the Company reflects female representation in the general population.

To this end, the Company proactively publishes all open positions in dedicated forums for women in relevant fields. In 2023, the Company worked to increase the number of female candidates and recruits out of the total employees recruited – out of 50 new employees recruited, 24 were women (about 48%).

’Women in Energy’ Program

In 2023, Doral continued to manage the ‘Women in Energy’ program in collaboration with the Supersonas Organization. The aimed is to provide women with the tools to hold influential and decision-making positions, empower and enrich the knowledge of women working in the energy sector, which is considered male-dominated. This is achieved through meetings with energy experts, workshops in soft skills, collaborative discussions, meetings with women in key positions, including former Energy Minister, Ms. Karine Elharrar, panels, and discussion circles. The program involves about 30 women from various positions in leading energy companies in the private, public, and government sectors.

Maximizing Value through Promoting Diversity and Inclusion

Alongside adequate representation for women in the Company, we also aim for diverse employment of underrepresented populations in the job market, providing a home for all members of Israeli society. Over the years, we have succeeded in making Doral an inclusive and enabling work environment, especially regarding the employment of members of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. Currently, ultra-Orthodox women make up 9% of the Company’s total employees, and we are working to increase the representation of other underrepresented groups within the Company.

As a young company in the infrastructure sector, the age profile of employees over 50 is relatively low. Nevertheless, Doral values and rewards knowledge and experience and is working to promote diversity in this aspect. In 2023, the proportion of employees over 50 rose to 12.6% globally, and the proportion of employees from the Arab community rose 3%.
